Soup Pots with Emeril

Fall time brings cooler weather, and unfortunately, colds and flu.  What better way is there to feel better than a nice bowl of homemade soup?  Then Emeril’s Stainless Steel 5-Quart Soup Pot with Pour Spouts and Lid is exactly what the doctor ordered.

I have to say, this is one nice soup pot.  This stainless steel pot is packed with features that will assist you in making a perfect pot of soup.

For one, the pot is made from 18/10 stainless steel, the best material for longevity, usability and safety.  Stainless steel is just one of those materials that keeps for generations.  My mother still uses stainless steel pots that her mother used, and they look the same today as they did back then.  If you are boiling soup (or vegetables, pasta, etc.), you won’t be too concerned with not having a non-stick surface.  And… you won’t be worried about using this pot over high heat, which some non-stick cookware is increasingly suspect in terms of safety.

Secondly, the bottom of the pan is made from aluminum/copper, which provides excellent heat transfer for more responsive cooking.

Another good feature is the pouring spout in the pot combined with the two sizes of strainers built in the lid.  Also, inside the pot is graduated markings for quarts and litres.  The pot itself can go into a 550F oven, and the lid can withstand 350F.  And, the entire thing can go into the dishwasher for easy clean up.

If you are looking for something bigger, Emeril has an 8-Quart Tall Stock Pot with Lid that is of the same high quality as the 5-Quart.
